History

Geoff Upton is a founding Director of the trade consultancy Trade Focus International and is a former Australian Trade Commissioner and South Australian State Manager for Austrade. Geoff has extensive experience assisting Australian businesses in export markets through both the private sector and Austrade, with overseas postings in Malaysia, Hong Kong and Thailand and business experience in 15 countries. Geoff has been involved in a range of industry organisations and was elected a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Export by the Institute’s Federal Council in recognition of his contribution to exporter education. Geoff's export expertise, accumulated wisdom and personal insights, make him a valuable asset to the School and to those students and staff in a position to benefit from his international business experience and knowledge.
