History

Joined the School from full-time study and working in business. Prior to this she worked as a teacher.

Major research interests

Carol Tilt’s major area of research is social and environmental accounting, her PhD was conducted on corporate environmental policies. Carol has around 20 refereed articles and conference papers, and numerous other papers in the area of corporate social and environmental reporting. Her research covers corporate reporting, NGO accountability, website reporting, organisational change in response to the environment, and theoretical frameworks for social reporting. She also has research interest in accounting education, ethics, governance and philanthropy.
